Kay Street Eyecare has been locally owned and operated for 40 years. We believe in providing continuous clinical care by the same optometrist. We liase with other health professionals to ensure you receive the best care, at no extra cost. You will be taken care of by our highly trained and skilled team, who collectively have over 70 years of optometry expertise and utilise advanced eye testing technologies for comprehensive care.

What we love about Traralgon?
We love that being in rural Victoria means essentially no peak hour traffic. Only 3-5 minutes home to work. The business is located just around the corner from the main street with plenty of patient parking in a medical area precinct. It's therefore easy to get to, and a short 200m walk to the main street.

Michael Tran
Michael graduated with a Doctorate of Optometry at Melbourne University. He has spent the last two years in regional Victoria gaining extensive experience managing various ocular diseases and developing relationships with local health care providers. Michael's interests include custom contact lenses, ocular disease management and providing his patients the best possible visual outcome. Michael has already become a valued member of our Kay Street Eyecare family and we are delighted to have Michael join our community for the long term.
Leah Meulendijks
Leah brings a wealth of knowledge from her time working in Central Victoria. She has vast experience co-managing with the local Ophthalmologists many ocular diseases such as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy to name a few.
Leah is a member of the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists.
Leah also spent two and half years being mentored by a Behavioural Optometrist in Bendigo and while she hasn't taken on the role of Behavioural Optometry, has extensive knowledge in the field and can recommend the best referrals if necessary to any child having trouble at school.
Leah was born in Cohuna which is in Northern Victoria and was raised in a small town called Pyramid Hill, only 30 minutes from where she was born. Aside from her time spent studying Optometry at the University of Melbourne, Leah has always lived in the country where she prefers to be. She has a great love of horses and a passion for Optometry which makes the Yarra Valley the ideal home for her and she now resides in Yellingbo.
Giving back
We employ local people and purchase from local businesses wherever possible. Each year we hold an “Everyday Heroes” fundraiser and all funds raised goes directly to support our local Traralgon CFA.
