At Kevin Hackett Optometrist, your eyes are our focus. We are a family-owned, independent general optometry practice passionate about the well-being of our Geraldton community and providing the highest quality comprehensive eye care to each of our patients. We take a careful and considered approach to provide you with the most thorough assessment and therefore the most effective solutions and advice. Our committed team is filled with familiar friendly faces, each of whom average over 20 years optical experience. We take the time to get to know you, so that our practice is one you feel comfortable coming to time and time again. With our own onsite lens laboratory, we are able to provide lens cutting and fitting of your spectacles, so you get to see the world clearer, quicker! We invest heavily in training as well as the latest technology and equipment. Ultimately, we care about our patients, and are dedicated to maximising your visual and ocular health, today and into the future.

Our optometrist Kevin worked in an independent practice straight after graduating, and liked the fact that we had the freedom to choose and use any product available to suit patients' needs and requirements. We are proud to be independent, as our only obligation is to do the best by you, our patient.

When I was researching careers in high school, I I decided that becoming an Optometrist and dedicating my work to the care of eyes was what I wanted to do. For me, it's all about looking after the most precious sense - your vision - and improving quality of life. Plus, I liked the idea of one day owning my own practice! I've been practising for over 35 years, and in my leisure time, enjoy travelling and photography.
Giving back
Kevin Hackett Optometrist support and sponsor local sporting clubs including Geraldton hockey association, Geraldton bowling club and Geraldton softball, as well as donate to Geraldton Rotary club and other charities. We also donate to Optometry Giving Sight, forward donated glasses to Geraldton Lions Club as well as to orphanages and villages in third world countries such as Bali and Thailand. Handmade spectacle accessories are sold in our practice where the proceeds go to villages in the Philippines to support local projects and families.
