When I was in high school, my uncle was an optometrist in Cooma NSW, the gateway to the Snowy Mountains. I thought what a cool job and it fitted perfectly with my love of maths and sciences. I have now been practising for 28 years. Whilst I enjoy Brisbane's warm climate, I do like to escape and indulge my love of snow skiing in the northern hemisphere for a couple of weeks each summer.
Giving back
Our charity of choice is Optometry Giving Sight. We donate monthly to help them fund projects in 26 countries to transform lives through the gift of vision.
