ProVision was established over 25 years ago by Optometry Australia to ensure that independent optometry would remain an important and thriving part of Australia’s optometry landscape. Why? So that you and every other Australian would have valuable choice when selecting who would care for your eyes and vision.
Our 450 member optometrists are located in every Australian State and Territory, and are spread throughout every major city including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra as well as many regional centres.
In order to become a member of ProVision, optometrists must own or have majority ownership in the practices they run. An optometrist ownership model is important to ensure an unwavering commitment to clinical excellence and patient care. This is a core philosophy which unites our community.
Every ProVision optometrist member is 100% independent and offers full-scope optometry services, including vision and eye health consulting, and dispensing of prescription eyewear. Many also pursue particular areas of clinical interest and as a result, offer enhanced services in areas including children’s vision, low vision, complex contact lens fitting and orthokeratology.
Attention to detail, quality products and a personal approach to your eyecare are other values synonymous with ProVision independent optometrists.
ProVision supports our community of member optometrists by providing them with business services to help them remain competitive and profitable. This includes leveraging the collective buying power of 450 practices for optical products including frames, lenses, contact lenses and equipment. We also provide expertise and support services in retail, marketing, education, business systems, business development and finance.
