The Pezzimenti family founded our practice almost 40 years ago and set up a fantastic standard of care for all of you. As the Nixon family have taken over, we have ensured that the same level of care is being delivered to the whole community. As a family optometry practice, we have a strong interest in vision and how it affects people’s lives at different stages of their lives. Our eyecare services are designed to meet each individuals lifestyle needs to enhance their quality of life. We want everybody to see at their full potential.

Hawthorn is a destination suburb for those that enjoy boutique shopping, restaurants, cafes and bars. It is also comprised of family homes, with many families having long and deep ties to the community. We are located on the main street of Glenferrie Road, which is the central shopping strip for locals and visitors alike. Our vibrant practice and team are warm and inviting and fit into the eclectic culture of Hawthorn.

Peter Nixon
I love helping people and vision was a fascinating area that still excites me today. I especially get a kick out of helping children improve their vision, as this is something they will have for the rest of their lives. I've been practicing for 15 years and wow that time has flown! When I'm not at the practice I love spending time with my beautiful wife and two little boys. I also love being surrounded by nature and doing any outdoor activity like cycling, kayaking, hiking and swimming!
Kha Diep
I decided on a career in Optometry because I enjoy being able to help and care for people and although it may sound cliche because the eyes are the window to the soul. I love to be in the kitchen cooking, spending time with family and anything physical that gets the heart racing.
Simone Hibbert
I graduated in 2013 and started working as an optometrist a year later. As a young child, I had a turned eye and used to see an optometrist for help with this. I chose to be an optometrist as I enjoy working with people and it has allowed me to help others in a similar way to my own experiences. I began working in Bendigo, country Victoria and have experience practicing in regional locations Australia-wide. Outside of work and travel, I enjoy staying fit with regular trips to the local gym or swimming, dining out and reading great books.

We have a strong partnership with our local physio and osteo practitioners, to visual screenings for the local kinder and prep students. Our community ties are well established, and we continue to support local.
