Alison Steer Optometrist is a second-generation independent optometrist serving Albany families since 1960. We pride ourselves on offering you comprehensive vision and optical health examinations, with retinal imaging included to assist in the early detection of eye and other health conditions. With our independence comes access to a world-wide selection of frames and lenses, and you can be assured our team can deliver the right solution for your individual needs. I followed my father, Geoff's footsteps and joined a profession that combines my love of science with my love of people. I also find it extemely rewarding to be provide eye care in clinics in Aboriginal communities in the Pilbara and Kimberley regions. Being outdoors is a passion and spending time sitting around a campfire with my dog would be my ultimate night.
Victoria Walters
Victoria completed a Bachelor of Science degree at UWA followed by the Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Melbourne; graduating in 2016. She spent some time working in Bunbury, before moving home to Perth for a number of years.
Since moving to Albany in 2022 Victoria has been enjoying the change in lifestyle, being able to spend more time hiking and exploring the surrounding areas. Victoria has an interest in all general areas of optometry, including children’s vision and dry eye management.
Giving back
Alison Steer Optometrist is a regular supporter of major international foundation Optometry Giving Sight and their World Sight Day Challenge. Alison also works for Lions Outback Vision which provides optometry services to rural and remote communities in our state's North West. As a practice we also sponsor local sporting and cultural events.
