Having an independent practice enabled us to truly craft what we believe to be the best experience in eyecare. We have the freedom and ability to choose top quality brands and companies to ensure patients receive the most valuable and reliable products to complete and extend their experience beyond the consult room. Being able to deliver excellence and curate memorable patient experiences is the biggest motivator for us choosing to pursue an independent practice.

The Redfern/Surry Hills area is a busy residential area in close proximity to the city. This location provides us with a great local community that has a wide means of travel options making it easily accessible and welcoming in terms of patient base.

I had always known I wanted to specialize in something health related. I went into university with not too much knowledge of what I wanted to pursue and so I began with optometry and immediately enjoyed it. It was an easy decision from there to pursue a career in this field and being able to couple it with my business orientated self, opening my own practice was perfect. I love catching up with friends at the golf course, however as of recently, I have been lucky enough to spend my spare time with my newborn son.
Raymond Lau
I have always wanted to be within the health sector, specializing in a particular area. I love the clinical environment and the professionalism being an optometrist entails. The eyes have always been fascinating to me with their abundance of intricate details. Being able to apply the knowledge I have for the benefit of another person is the most fulfilling part of my job. In my free time, I love learning and practicing aviation, scuba diving, going out to dinner with my close friends, and playing video games.
Giving back
Upon creating a new pair of glasses for a patient, we ask if they wish for us to keep their old pair, which we then donate to the Lions Clubs Australia, Recycle for Sight organization. We have also implemented the Augie brand into our original store in Zetland which we intend on bringing here in the coming future. Augie helps to feed Aussie children in troubling situations with every frame purchased.
