I got into Optometry because I wanted to work with people to find ways to help them to improve their quality of life. I love the mental challenge of this job, particularly when helping children to have eyes that are fit and ready for learning. When I'm not at the practice I enjoy spending time with friends and family, running and playing music.

Being mildly short sighted there was a natural interest in vision and vision correction from an early age. Long experience as a patient gave an insight into the profession making the choice to enter it one that came with a good knowledge of what would lie ahead and a desire to learn more. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, reading, travel, spending time with my family on outings and learning about European history.
