I was drawn to optometry because I really valued the positive impact my optometrist had on my quality of life, despite growing up with poor vision. I wanted to give back in the same way, and love being able to connect with people daily and make a difference in their lives! In my spare time, I enjoy staying active with dancing, oztag, and hiking. I dedicate time to expanding my mind with travel, books and podcasts. And where possible, I love combining it all into quality time with family and friends.
Giving back
Our practice collaborates with Vision Australia to help provide free glasses and eye care to disadvantaged Australians in our community. We also support Lion’s Recycle for Sight Program and encourage our patients to donate old glasses to be sent to developing countries. Our optometrist Theresa has volunteered overseas to provide eye care to the Papua New Guinea community, and Michelle has regularly volunteered in Vietnam.
