I chose to become an optometrist because it offered the opportunity to be a health professional and a small business owner. I love the challenge of both. The most rewarding part of my job is getting the opportunity to see our loyal patients time and time again. In my spare time, I love spending time with family. Every moment is precious so finding that balance between home and work life is very important. I also enjoy fitness challenges such as triathlon, board and card games as well as visual media creation (videography). I've been practicing optometry for 20 years.
Giving back
To give back, we always try to support our local Australian suppliers by sourcing our products and services from them. One such example is our main supplier, CR Surfacing, which is one of the few Australian-owned and operated lens manufacturing labs. We also support the Lions Recycle for Sight program (an initiative that donates old glasses to the less fortunate) and make contributions to support local community groups and events.
