Eyes and Optics, optometrist in Wonthaggi, was established in 1990 with a commitment to raise awareness of vision and eye issues in the South Gippsland community. Malcolm Gin has been involved with the education of final year optometry students for over 20 years and is currently serving on the Optometric Sector Advisory Group, Optometry Victoria. The clinic is well know for its level of state of the art equipment, its after care service and its professional and courteous staff. We have been proudly servicing our local area for over 25 years.

I have always had a fascination with vision, perception and how the eye works. I have also been interested in optometric education and have been involved with the University of Melbourne for over 20 years, teaching final year students and also offering country rotations. I occasionally lecture to post graduate optometrists and am currently involved with the Australian College Optometry Ocular Therapeutics course. While I have been practicing Optometry for over 30 years, family is first and foremost, with my wife Dianne and four children. Cycling is a great passion, closely followed by golf, travel and gardening.
Giving back
We proudly support our WorldVision Child Mneebi Villene, from Swaziland. The donations we receive for the minor repair of spectacles assist his education and living expenses. On a local front, we are always keen to support local charities as these are the people that support us!
