Our practice in Charlestown has been serving the community since 2007. We go beyond optimising eyesight and eye health when determining the best tools to serve our patient’s visual needs. We also look at the patient’s eye teaming, eye tracking and focusing abilities. Solutions can come in spectacles, contact lenses and vision therapy. The practice also has 3D ocular imaging so we can provide a comprehensive ocular health assessment for our patients. We offer a large range of high quality and fashionable spectacles to find something you’ll like and get lots of compliments about.
In my final year of university, I wanted to find a practice that would teach me skills beyond general optometry, such as behavioural optometry, orthokeratology, advanced contact lens fitting and ocular therapeutics. I soon realised that only independent practices could offer these services. As a result, I have been an independent optometrist since I graduated and have learnt many areas of eye care. I am now able to offer diverse solutions to my patients.
Charlestown is a part of the Lake Macquarie region. There are beautiful beaches to the East and a big lake to the West. It is a great place to enjoy the waters, whether sailing, kayaking or fishing. I love watching the sunset from the Lake. There are incredible bike trails and walks for a good workout. You can reward yourself with the many dining options afterwards. The people in the community are friendly, and there are many small businesses like ours. Charlestown has everything you need without the big price tag. If we have to go to the city, Sydney is only a 1 hour and 40-minute drive away.
