Dr Susan Ang- Ngo founded Eyestore in 2003. She is a therapeutically- endorsed clinical Optometrist and graduated with Honours from the University of New South Wales. She has a passion for Myopia Control, particularly using Ortho K Contact lenses, Paediatric eye care and complex eye diseases management.
Dr Susan Ang-Ngo is grateful that her profession has opened doors to countries such as India, Cambodia and Vietnam, where she helps the disadvantaged have access to eye care needs.
In her leisure time, Susan enjoys Bikram Yoga and ticking off her hiking lists from around the world, With the Camino Trail being one of them in 2022.
Mary Nguyen is a therapeutically-endorsed optometrist who graduated with a Master of Clinical Optometry and a Bachelor of Vision Science from the University of New South Wales.
Her passion for optometry began through experiencing her own elderly family members struggling with blindness. There are high rates of preventable blindness in certain ethnic communities due to inadequate access to eye care in their lifetime. She believes that our generation has the responsibility to close this gap. This involves enhancing patients' education and awareness about the importance of ocular health. Mary's main clinical interests are in the early detection and treatment of ocular diseases, primarily glaucoma, macular disease and degenerative myopia.
In her leisure time, Mary enjoys playing competitive dodgeball. She competes in NSW state competitions and enjoys promoting her love for the sport. She has 2 dogs who she also loves to spoil endlessly.
Locally, Eyestore Bankstown, provides regular school screenings to detect vision problems in students and visits local nursing homes to assist the elderly, who have limited access to health services. Twice a year, we head over to villages in Cambodia and Vietnam to assist with the treatment of eye diseases. We have also travelled to pockets of India, rural Australia and New York City to help protect the gift of vision.
