Jessica Chi
Jess has been the Victorian president of the Cornea & Contact Lens Society of Australia since 2014 and served as National President of this society from 2014 to 2016. She is a part of the Optometric Clinical Policy Committee Victoria and is also a clinical supervisor at the University of Melbourne, a visiting lecturer at Deakin University, and a University of New South Wales post-graduate Specialty Contact Lens certificate. Jess is an invited speaker at various conferences and meetings throughout Australia and overseas, consults for various contact lens companies, and is involved in product research, product launches and training of other optometrists.
She is a columnist for MiVision, an ophthalmic journal distributed within Australia and New Zealand. Jess is a Fellow of the Australian College of Optometry and the British Contact Lens Association.
Jess has been a contact lens enthusiast since the age of 13 when she first began wearing contact lenses. She is passionate about furthering professionalism in this field. She has undertaken missions to Vietnam and Cambodia to train local eye care practitioners with Sight For All - a charity organisation dedicated to providing sustainable eye care in developing countries. Recently has been named Lead Visionary for Sight for All's contact lens projects.
Victor Lui
Victor was born and bred in Houston, Texas. Upon graduating from Texas Tech University he worked as an ophthalmic lab technician and optician in Houston. After moving to Australia in 2014 he completed his Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Melbourne in 2017, where he also served as President of the University of Melbourne Optometry Students Society. His clinical externship includes a residence at the Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut and volunteering with Global Hand Charity’s outreach program in Sri Lanka.
Recently he has moved back to Melbourne after working in Warrnambool at Penry Routson Optometrists. He has a keen interest in managing ocular health with clinical emphasis on anterior eye disease and specialty contact lenses. In his free time, he enjoys acting, playing music, learning to surf and watching sports
