We are proud to work in and support the local community and we are committed to offering you a comprehensive level of continuous care. We spend as much time as needed to provide you with the optimal eye care needs, like diagnosing and treating a variety of ocular diseases and infections and prescribe quality eyewear solutions that are tailored to your unique eyes and lifestyle needs.
We are family orientated and have a special connection to our local community as it’s common for us to look after grandparents, parents, children, and grandchildren from the same family over many years.

Being independent allows us to personalise each patient’s experience. We pride ourselves on a high level of customer service and we take the time to follow up on our patients concerns and needs. We can access any equipment, any lens, any frame, any sunglass, any contact lens product we need for you. We're not locked into any single supplier, laboratory, or contract. What's not to love? We have beautiful beaches, great weather, lots of quality dining options, plenty of places to get a good coffee and most importantly a relaxed and happy atmosphere. Our practice is centrally located and has a great connection with the community, there can't be many better places to come to work than the Sunshine Coast.

Brett Jenkinson
Brett completed his Bachelor of Optometry degree at Melbourne University, graduating in 2001. His first job was with Laubman & Pank Optometrists in Kingaroy. While there, he met his wife, Carmen. They were married in 2004 and moved to Hobart for a fresh start in 2006.
In Hobart, Brett became the youngest partner of the largest locally-owned Optometry group, Total Eyecare. He took an active role in the Optometry Association and became Tasmanian President in 2012. Also while in Hobart, Brett became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and completed his Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics, allowing him to prescribe optical medicines. During his 20+ year career, Brett has developed a keen interest in contact lenses, orthokeratology (overnight contact lenses for short-sightedness that allow lens-free daytime vision) and in particular found a challenge in complex cornea and contact lens fitting.
With their two children, Sean and Amelia, Brett and Carmen returned home to Brisbane in June 2017, where they began Fresh Vision. Brett is an active Club Scout Leader which keeps him busy in his spare time. His now teenage children, along with his wife, enjoy camping and spending time with friends.
Pamela Dreyer
Pam received her Optometry Degree in 1980 in South Africa. She completed her Therapeutic Qualifications through Boston in 2000. Pam has spent 40 happy years helping patients to achieve comfortable, clear vision and healthy eyes. Having a history and firsthand knowledge of visual problems herself, Pam gained a strong interest in Optometry and the desire to help others with their vision. She loves meeting patients from all walks of life and helping them achieve great vision for their daily lives and helping them maintain their eye health.
Sophie Wellington
Graduated as a therapeutically endorsed Optometrist with a Masters in Optometry from Flinders University in 2019. Sophie loves being an Optometrist as she is passionate about providing the best care to all her patients. She has keen interest in managing ocular pathology, managing dry eye patients and specialty contact lenses (in particular, Othokeratology) Passionate about providing eye-care in developing countries and rural regions of Australia. In 2019 she did a 6 week placement in Kathmandu, Nepal. She hopes to arrange similar volunteering experience in Nepal and other countries in the future.
Jackie Prentice
Jackie obtained her Optometry Degree in New Zealand and has worked in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia since 2001. Jackie is passionate about giving the best eye care to all her patients. Her interests include ocular health, contact lenses and Orthokeratology. Jackie has completed postgraduate training in both ocular therapeutics and advanced contact lenses (rigid gas permeable, miniscleral and orthokeratology).
Giving back
Fresh Vision proudly supports the Lions Club's Recycle for Sight program. Patients can donate their old glasses to this program via Fresh Vision and those glasses are graded, collated and shipped all around the world to developing countries where people can't readily access eye care or spectacles.
