At Hammond Optometry Nambour, we live by our motto; Your Vision is Our Passion. Operating in Nambour for 18 years, we offer full scope optometry with a long term approach towards eye care at all stages of your life. We are known for our personal and friendly service, and pride ourselves on providing comprehensive eye examinations and the best solutions to your individual eye care needs. Hammond Optometry's experienced staff will help you to find eyewear you'll love from an extensive range of leading international brands housed in our modern showroom.
Independent optometry allows us to practise optometry the way we think it should be, without limitations. Our Optometrists are encouraged to pursue and develop an area of clinical interest that can be nurtured in an independent environment.
The climate, beaches, hinterland and relaxed lifestyle are what makes the Sunshine Coast a great place to live.
My mother suggested it to me and I have lots of spectacle wearers in my family. I have found the profession very rewarding and enjoy solving vision problems for people. Mountain biking (slowly), skiing (badly), bush walking, reading and spending time with the family. practicing 26 years
I chose to become an optometrist because I wanted to work in a profession where I could help people from all walks of life. I particularly enjoy using my skills to volunteer overseas and to provide eyecare to remote places. I have been a practising optometrist for 10 years now. In my spare time, I enjoy camping, ballroom dancing and spending time with my family and friends.
Hammond Optometry supports a variety of community organizations in the Sunshine Coast and Hinterland surrounds. We are also involved with sponsorship of many community group events such as Arts Connect and our Local Lions Club. We offer services to disadvantaged members of the community and are a provider for the Medical Aids and Spectacle Supply Scheme. We also collect donated spectacles for Lions as well as Optometry Giving Sight.
