Our four-member team is passionate about providing our region with the best quality eye care and eyewear.

After experiencing optometry in both corporate and franchise settings, being independent is extremely important to us. It enables us the time and flexibility to provide our patients with superior eyecare and eyewear. We have been able to invest in the most up to date technology and are able to offer a limitless range of spectacle frame choices.

We have some of the most spectacular coastline and scenery in the West, endless outdoor activities and a limitless supply of gourmet food and winery experiences. I’ve always been interested in health and optometry has been the ideal career for me. I have the fortune to meet and chat with people from all walks of life. I love the constantly evolving nature of optometry and the ability to make a difference in our patient’s everyday lives. The opportunity to help people see well and also look great is extremely rewarding as are the extra challenges that come with owning an independent practice.
Having moved to the area recently, I love exploring the South West with my husband and two boys. I love running and outdoor exercise.
Darren McIvor
After 26 years of optometry, Darren is currently a stay at home Dad to our two young boys and occasionally makes a cameo appearance at Margaret River Optical! Although there's not much spare time these days he enjoys playing golf, cycling and mountain biking.
Giving back
We love to give back to the community that supports us. We are actively involved in several schools and sports club sponsorships. We are constantly on the lookout for innovative optical products which use sustainable or recycled materials.
