Sonya Wijaya
Since graduating from The University of Melbourne in 2006, I have been a practising optometrist for 11 years. Being a mother myself, I have developed had a special interest in kids vision, and am actively present in my local community to promote eye health in early learning centres. I am also a close supporter of UNICEF, who proactively assist with children’s crises worldwide. Outside of work, I enjoy the arts.
Elise Lam
Upon graduation from The University of Melbourne in 2009, I have worked in across a vast number of optometric practices in the last 8 years, from rural Aboriginal communities to metro and international practices in Fiji. My interest lies in the field of ocular diseases and complex contact lens fittings, as well as kids vision. In my spare time, I love to get outdoors and be active and enjoy scuba diving, cycling and badminton.
Rebecca Barsoum
Having recently graduated from Deakin University in 2015, my career has developed through working in both regional and metro practices. I have worked closely with the management of complex ocular diseases, myopia control and complex lens fittings. Apart from work, I enjoy playing sports, including indoor soccer and swimming. I am also an active participant in my local Parish, often aiding with children’s services.
