Welcome to Optikus Optometrists, your family's eye care and eye wear destination located in Sippy Downs. Led by experienced Optometrist Zahn Kidson, we have been providing comprehensive eye examinations and great service to the Sunshine Coast for over 10 years. Our vision is for every person to leave our practice understanding the importance of their eye health, and how passionate we are about helping them live a full life with healthy sight.

As an independent practice, we have the ability to personalise each patients experience. We pride ourselves on a high level of customer service and we take the time to follow up on our patients concerns and needs. As an independent, we provide a repairs service, and we take the time to share the frame selection experience with each patient. They become part of the Optikus family, rather than just another sale.

Sippy Downs is wonderful suburb on the Sunshine Coast. Filled with young families through to the elderly, it caters for the needs of everyone. At Optikus Optometrists, we love caring for all members of the community. We also enjoy that Sippy Downs is only a stone's throw away from the magnificent beaches of the coast - Mooloolaba, Noosa, Coolum.

As an optometrist, I earn great satisfaction from working in a health, science environment and being able to combine this with fashion. For the past 26 years, I've enjoyed helping people and following their journey to clearer vision. I get a real kick out of a person trying out contact lenses for the first time. When I'm not practising optometry? I'm motorbike riding or spending time in the garden and with my family.
Giving back
Optikus Optometrists contribute to the local and international community. We encourage a small donation to Optometry Giving Sight for all adjustments we carry out on a complimentary basis, and actively supporting a child safety program in two of our local schools. Optikus also supports SunnyKids, a local children's charity with gold coin donation drives throughout each year, and are a collection point for unused glasses from our patients and the local community on behalf of the Lions Recycle for Sight Australia.
