We do this by having a great partnership of optometrists and staff who are knowledgeable, friendly and caring and who are committed to giving you the time you deserve. With over 60 years' combined clinical experience and the latest diagnostic equipment, Optometry @ Cooroy delivers excellence in general optometry, contact lens practice and children's vision.

We feel that independent practice fits best with our philosophy of vision care. We value flexibility and autonomy with the freedom to adapt quickly as technology and scientific evidence improves. We feel that patient care is optimised when decisions are made locally.

Cooroy is a small Sunshine Coast hinterland town with a strong sense of community. It is friendly, relaxed and caring with just about everything you need on our doorstep, and we're not far from major cities.

I chose to become an optometrist: Having had visual problems since around 5 or 6 years of age, I had a long experience with vision care. At the age of 15 I decided to be an optometrist. It is a wonderful and varied profession combining science that I love, patient care and it is, I think, the only health profession incorporating fashion! Every day is different. When on holidays I love travelling Australia and the world bicycle touring with my husband. With our bikes, our tent and a map we are free to explore in the great outdoors. At home I like to sew and read when not trying out new recipes How many years' practicing: >30 years

Optometry @ Cooroy is a donor to Optometry Giving Sight, volunteering a day's consultation fees annually to the charity & collecting regular donations throughout the year. We're also proud to sponsor the Cooroy Dolphins Swimming Club, the Cooroy Community Bowls Club and the Cooroy Golf Club.
