I became an Optometrist almost 30 years ago so I could help people with their sight, something that affects their everyday life. I am passionate about outreach and helping those in need.
Benjamin Lu
I was always interested in working in the health care industry and Optometry allows me to, not only work in the industry but to help people and look after their vision needs. Outside of Optometry I enjoy playing and listening to music and watching movies.
Courtney Priestley
Vision is the primary sense on which people rely on in everyday life. I became an optometrist because I've always been interested in healthcare and have a passion for maintaining and improving people's quality of life through caring for their eyes. In my spare time, I love bushwalking, camping and exploring new places.
Simone Rudder
I chose optometry as a profession because it enabled me to combine my keen interest in the healthcare field with my love of meeting and talking to new people. It is very rewarding to be able to help people solve their vision problems and enhance their quality of life. In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and Oztag and catching up with my friends.
Giving back
Paul is passionate about outreach work in the Solomon Islands where he is currently involved in both healthcare and building projects in the Anglican church in Malaita province.
