We've been in Reservoir for 33 years and we love our area and community. We provide personalised service and can cater for all styles, needs and budgets.
Being independent means that we only answer to the most important person and that's the customer. They are our focus and we love getting to know them and their story, and remembering them each time they walk in. Being a small independent business patients can have the familiarity of seeing the same staff every time, and if there's an issue it will be personally addressed by the business owner.
We love Reservoir. So much so that our Practice Owner John Sweeney is the Vice President of the local Traders' Association, which represents 96 local businesses. We believe Ressie has a important history, a vibrant present and an exciting future. You can see the city skyline from where we are but there's a very suburban feel and lots of green space, great public transport and a mix of cultures and ages.
John has done optometry aid work in Sri Lanka and Vanuatu, and as mentioned, is VP of the the local Traders' Association which secures funding for art, event and safety projects in the area. John regularly leases with outreach groups, police and the council to help the most needy in the area. 2 years ago we secured a $10,000 grant from the Victorian Government to install a mural along the side of our shop.
