Stuart Macfarlane
Optometry is such a rewarding profession as I get to improve people's lives every day through the gift of sight. I have now been practising for over 30 years after graduating from QUT and subsequently obtaining a distinction in Ocular Therapeutics from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. I am a current panel member of the Optometry Board of Australia and previous member of the Optometrists Board of QLD.
Geraldine Reed
I became an optometrist because I love helping others. With optometry, I am able to utilise my problem-solving skills to provide people with vision solutions and make a positive difference to their quality of life. I have a clinical interest in eye disease, children's vision and contact lenses.
Minh Nguyen
I enjoy all aspects of Optometry including therapeutic prescribing, contact lenses, and children's vision. I have also partaken in numerous school vision screenings and volunteered in rural Western Australia.
Hiromi Yoshikawa
Vision and eye health have always been my interest as I grew up with high myopia myself. I found the optometry profession interesting and rewarding in a number of ways: improving sight, providing primary eye care to screen and detect eye problems and being a part of multidisciplinary health care with GPs, ophthalmologists and other specialists. I've been an optometrist for 11 years now. In my spare time, I enjoy visiting different parks with my children.
