Tim Duffy Optometrist has been providing eye care services to the local community since 1985 and was humbled to receive the Lederer Award for Excellence in Optometry in 2017. Our practice team is made up of 5 Optometrists, 8 qualified Dispensers and 15 support staff, who all provide you with comprehensive eye care utilising the latest equipment in a caring, family environment.

We have been proudly independent for 30 years. Being independent gives us the flexibility to pursue professional interests whether that is in contact lenses, behavioural optometry, eye diseases or other areas. As an independent practice we can choose and provide the latest equipment for our patients to give you the best possible care.

I always wanted a career that combined physics, maths and patient interaction. I enjoy treating eye disease using modern equipment and being involved in patient care in a team environment.

Optometry ticks all the boxes for me. It contains a pinch of medicine, therapeutics, science, maths, and allows me to work with other health professionals & meet new people. Optometry presents me with new challenges everyday and keeps me learning throughout my career.
Alison Margaret Stuart
I always wanted to be a clinician and work in the health / medical field. I love the variety within Optometry; diagnosing eye disease and vision problems, fitting contact lenses, working with children, eyewear fashion - it's never boring. I love singing with the local choir and the odd bit of ''car karaoke", much to my children's dismay.
Sebastian Egan
I chose Optometry because it is a dynamic field. I enjoy the broad range of technology we utilise to aid in prescribing glasses and detecting ocular pathology. I moved to the area in early 2016, and I enjoy exploring and discovering new activities out here.

I always had an interest in the health industry and wanted to work in an environment where I could relate to people one-on-one. Optometry is challenging, interesting and very rewarding. It is very satisfying to find solutions for people's eye related problems and have a positive impact on their lives.
Giving back
We support many local programs and charities, as well as having our staff provide hands on testing in schools and nursing homes, making eye care more accessible. We also provide eye care through the Brien Holden Institute for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait communities.
