Sorell is the newest Total Eyecare practice, opening in mid-2013. Our principal Optometrist, Beverley Reid has developed a loyal following from residents of Sorell, the Peninsula and East Coast. Excellence in clinical eyecare, advanced technology, superior customer service and commitment to independence are the hallmarks of Total Eyecare Optometrists. With nine locations around southern Tasmania and online service, Total Eyecare remains committed to serving our local community through quality eyecare and eyewear.

Total Eyecare is an amalgamation of several independent practices. Since our beginnings in 1946, independence has been valued by all our owner optometrists as it allows us to make the best clinical decisions for you. Independence allows us to choose our lens, contact lens and frame suppliers without restriction. Having access to all the best quality products for our patients is why we remain proudly independent. As fierce Tasmanians, we also contribute to our local community by employing locals and supporting our local economy.

Beverley Reid
Optometry runs in my family, I used to work at reception while my father treated patients and I could see the difference he made to their lives. I chose Optometry so I could serve the community and because I saw how much Dad enjoyed his work. In my spare time I love to look for bargains in the op shops, for things I can fix up and re-purpose.
Scott Taylor
My first job was in an Optical Lab and strong Optometrists inspired me to further study and become an Optometrist myself. After hours I enjoy gardening and nurturing my creative brain.
Giving back
Total Eyecare has always been supporters of the Optometry Giving Sight program, specifically in the establishment and ongoing commitment to the East Timor Eye Program. Several of our owner Optometrists travel to East Timor annually to work with locals in restoring sight to thousands of people who would otherwise go without basic eyecare. Additionally, we support multiple local causes and events throughout the year with monetary and product donations.
