At Vision North Eyecare, optometrist in Reservoir, we offer a broad spectrum of eyecare services. We have an interest in children’s vision, contact lenses and more complex spectacle needs. We have state of the art diagnostic equipment and carry spectacle ranges to meet everyone's needs. All our optometrists are University of Melbourne trained and all are therapeutically endorsed (able to prescribe some restricted pharmacy only medications). We have a strong commitment to continued professional skills training with all our optometrists exceeding the mandatory professional education requirements. Our support team are customer service champions! Always ready to assist with all your needs from simple frame adjustments, to making sure your next pair of glasses not only look great but also deliver amazing vision.

Reservoir has a heart and soul. Its roots have a strong southern European feel; patients often drop in with their home made salami and tomato paste. Like all suburbs relatively close to the city it is changing. You will find the barrister up the street can make a mean single origin-fair trade short black the likes of which only Brunswick could once serve. It's a great place to work with many of us having a close link with Reservoir, either growing up locally or still living locally. And remember its pronounced ‘Reser – vore’. We'll know you're not local if you pronounce it any other way!

Joe Grossi
As a practicing optometrist for over 25 years, I would say that the most rewarding feeling is knowing that I am making a positive difference in someone’s life with the gift of good vision. I’ve predominantly worked between private practices and community optometry, and have been a teaching clinician at the Victorian College of Optometry. I enjoy the challenges that optometry brings and have a keen interest in children’s vision and complex eye diseases. I am also fluent in Italian, which I find comes in handy as a large portion of our community speak Italian as their first language. When I’m not practicing, I enjoy cycling, fishing or playing volleyball.
Dr. Katrina Yap
I chose optometry because I felt that it would be the most rewarding career path for me. There is no better feeling than knowing that I can help people see and live better, at times even preventing potential blindness. My passion is making eye care accessible for all people and have completed outreach and volunteer optometry work in South Africa, Nepal and Cambodia. I am also a clinical teaching instructor and the University of Melbourne Eyecare. You might recognise me at the practice as I have been local to the Mill Park area since I was a child. Outside of the practice, I enjoy cooking, playing tennis or getting away from the city on a bicycle ride or hike.
Dr. Vin-Lin Yang
I wore glasses during high school and since then I have found it quite fascinating. I wanted to use this passion and knowledge to help the people in the community with vision related problems and be part of the health care profession. I also love hiking, bike trails, and eating out with family and friends.
Dr Luke Ho
I am an optometrist that enjoys making a difference in the lives of the patients that I see. I value the importance of primary eye care within the community and delivering the best eye health outcomes. I love seeing the smile on the face of my patients when I put a pair of glasses on them for the first time. I also enjoy managing children’s vision, particularly with myopia management and treatment of binocular vision disorders. I am fluent in Vietnamese and in my spare time enjoy following the tennis, cricket and the AFL- go the Hawks!
Dr Isaac Curkpatrick
I became an optometrist because I liked how it combined medical sciences, technical skill, and talking to and learning about people. I am passionate about providing the best possible care for all patients and getting to know each person that visits me. My passion for optometry has found me participating on continuing professional development committees and joining the Optometry Victoria South Australia board of directors as an associate. Outside of optometry, I am a volunteer firefighter with the CFA. When I have time to myself, I enjoy running, reading and attempting DIY jobs around the home.
Giving back
We support some of the local bowling clubs and often donate to local fete's and trivia nights. We are also passionate about children having access to early eyecare and have forged a strong bond with the maternal and child health nurse as well as local schools. We often volunteer our time at local schools offering vision screening services.
