I found my way to Optometry after my best friend went to a local Optometrist for work placement in year 10. He told me all about it and it sounded great! I still enjoy working with people one-on-one and working in a small business. I've been a practicing optometrist for just over 35 years. I enjoy spending time with my partner, Nicci, and our rescue beagles in my spare time.

You could say Optometry chose me! After watching my Mum's eye examination when I was 13 years old I announced that it would be my career, and here I am. I have been practicing optometry for 25 years. After hours I love being a mum to my son, Campbell and getting into a good book.
Giving back
Wills Street Eyecare regularly speaks to the community and professional groups about eye health. We host final year Optometry students and look forward each year to our 'Light Up Wills Street' project over Christmas! Globally, we regularly make donations and organise fundraising for Optometry Giving Sight, providing much needed eyecare to people in third world countries. Pre-loved glasses and lenses are donated through the Lions Club for re-conditioning and use in aid programs. In 2021 we installed solar power in the practice, which already creates more power than we use.
